This is an orchid of the genus Spiranthes. I found it growing on the Buderoo Plateau in the Buderoo National Park. I couldn't identify it, but I sent the photo to the Australian National Herbarium, and was thrilled to get a reply from Murray Fagg, a noted author and researcher into Australian Plants, whose books had inspired me when I was a (relatively) little tacker.
